Bonnie develops your ear by engaging your critical listening skills each time you play through a song. She engages your body by providing specific exercises to assist in making the best sound possible. Her lessons inspire you to prepare throughout the week and soar to a new level of knowledge during lessons. No matter your other goals for music lessons, her goal is to enable you to sing your soul through the medium of fingers flying over keys or voice lifted in melody.

Lessons begin with a warm-up and technical exercises (don't worry, they're fun!) and a review of the previous week's assignments and practice results or struggles. Then comes the exciting part: rehearsing the musical selections we've chosen for you to work on! Voice students are expected to rehearse 2-3 pieces of music in a minimum of 2 languages (English and one additional) while Piano and Flute students will work through method books and then branch out into their repertoire. As instrumental works are typically longer, these students usually study one piece of music at a time. Group lessons learn the basics of their instrument and then prepare for a winter and spring performance. All students and their families are invited to the yearly Spring Recital.
